How many times we arrived on a stretch of water and we said it would be nice fish here and maybe do the night but the tent does not fit should I buy an Oval !!!!!!
I want to introduce my amendment, which I implemented for two reasons, the first and will ease our equipment, eliminating a tool, the second and that of not alleviate the portfolio buying tools, I modified a tent opening automatic ( In this case an Easy Dome of the Fox), but applicable to all the tents with this kind of openness. This change I made on my tent and I assure you that besides being easy to perform is also very useful.
With this small change "transform" the tent (Bivvy, or Oval)

The material needed: a small file is not more.
Mount the tent as you normally raise the cue front and open up the door slats (as if we were to replace it) for a possible rupture. Once the rod is in our hands with the file reduce the tooth which is within about a millimeter (not ruin anything) this change is necessary to facilitate the dismantling of the cue when we want to make the transformation.
The rod must enter into his home with a minimum effort.
Now the curtain has that "march in more '" which was just hidden.
If our position is limited in space can do so:
A) Mount tent normally and the internal chamber take away
B) Raise cue front (amended) take away blocking Central
C) Roll on window and side wings and stop with the appropriate laces
D) Pull back the arc front against the tent and fix everything with the elastic of dome.
E) The transformation is complete.
To close the tent for the night just liberate the arc, and Roll off the front and attach the elastic to pickets fixtures in the soil.
With a bit of adaptability so 'you can avoid doing the purchase of an oval or a Bivvy saving!
I want to clarify that the tent remains unchanged all its qualities of strength and water resistance: in two years by the amendment no problem, but rather the use much more than before!
